Columbia Turf Farms is your locally owned and operated turf grass supplier. Our goal is to provide only the highest quality turf suited for residential and commercial applications. Because Columbia Turf Farms is located only 4.2 miles North East of Clemson Rd off of Two Notch Rd in Elgin, we can ensure that you receive fresh cut turf straight from the field.

Company Profile

Columbia Turf Farms is owned and operated by Dr. Jimmy Golden and Richard Butler.  Dr. Golden formerly the Director of Clemson's Sandhill Reseach Center and retired Assocaite Professor of Plant Pathology and Physiology has been instrumental in the reseach and development of many of today's turf varieties including Empire Zoysia and Palmetto St. Augustine.  Dr. Golden has also worked for DuPont Chemicals providing expertise in the use of chemicals used to treat soil for nematodes and other turf grass diseases.  Dr. Golden also has hands on experience having worked with Dow Chemicals specifically focused on the turf grass trade.  Mr. Butler brings with him 16 years of Executive Management experience with two publically traded companies.  His expreince includes production management, sales management and he has completed over 200 acquisitons ranging from three million to over one hundred and twenty million.
